If your loved one has a policy, it may cover companion and home care. Check the elimination period and daily benefit.
VA Aid & Attendance
Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for a monthly benefit that can be used toward in-home care or assisted living.
Virginia Medicaid waivers

Is there a cost to families?
No. Our matching service is free to families. We are compensated by the providers in our network, so you never pay us anything. You pay only the provider you choose, at the rates you agree to with them.
Are you a home care agency?
No. We do not employ caregivers or provide care ourselves. We are a referral and matching service that connects you with independent, licensed home care agencies and placement advisors in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding counties.
What is companion care, and how is it different from home health care?
Companion care is non-medical support: conversation and companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, errands and medication reminders. Home health care involves skilled medical services such as wound care or physical therapy ordered by a doctor. Many families start with companion care and add personal care as needs change.
